Often called the “Mini Switzerland of India,” Khajjiar offers lush green meadows, dense deodar forests, and breathtaking mountain views. Manimahesh Lake
Situated at an altitude of about 13,000 ft near Bharmour, this sacred lake lies at the base of Manimahesh Kailash Peak. The Manimahesh Yatra, held during the month of Bhadon, attracts thousands of pilgrims who take a holy dip and perform parikrama (circumambulation) of the lake. The site holds deep spiritual significance, especially for devotees of Lord Shiva.
Chaurasi Temple Complex
Located in Bharmour, this complex consists of 84 ancient shrines. The main temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, along with shrines of Lord Ganesha, Narasimha, and Lakshmi Devi. It is also uniquely associated with the worship of Lord Yamraj.
Lakshmi Narayan Temple Chamba
Built in the 10th century by Raja Sahil Varman, this temple complex is an architectural marvel in the shikhara style. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Shiva, it features intricate carvings and a sacred marble idol.
Narsimha Temple Bharmour
Constructed in the 10th century, this temple houses a brass idol of Lord Narsimha (half-man, half-lion avatar of Vishnu). Locals believe the deity protects them from evil forces.
